Our Pastor

Pastor Rodney A. Jackson

His ministry journey began over 20 years ago as a member of Rose of Sharon Worship Center, formally Rosharon Community-Missionary Baptist Church where he served in various roles in the ministry: Head Deacon, Worship Minister, Church Business Administrator, Finance Clerk, Children’s and Adult Sunday School Teacher,  Brotherhood President and Teacher, Choir President/Treasurer, and ambassador (evangelist) in the community. He believes that the church should be racially diverse, culturally relevant while maintaining a biblical foundation in reaching souls for Christ.

He is a man who values family and people, Pastor Jackson is a devoted husband, father, and a friend. He is married to his high-school sweetheart, Sister Tina Cheng-Jackson, his beautiful wife of 20 years and a wonderful son, Nicholas Jackson. Sister Jackson is a devoted mother and wife who manages the affairs of home and family, she is extremely hard working and a full-time accountant professional as a licensed certified public accountant (CPA). She has her bachelor and master’s degree in Business earned from the University of Texas at Austin.

Pastor Jackson, on the other hand, has received his biblical training and studies serving as an under-study to the teachings of Dr. Aaron J. Citizen. Pastor Jackson formal college education comes from Houston Community College, the University of Houston, Columbia Southern University where he completed and earned his Master’s in Business degrees. Pastor Jackson has worked for many years in   Higher Education and in the Banking industry. 

Pastor and Sister Jackson are passionate about serving God’s people helping others to discover their God given purpose and improving their quality of life through practical-biblical teaching. In his spare time, Pastor Jackson enjoys spending time with his family, friends, traveling, singing with the male chorus and playing golf when he can.
